The Ukraine ambassador to the Netherlands made a couple of interesting statements during a meeting on the April 6 referendum. The meeting was organized by political party VVD in Wassenaar.

Olexander Horin made these statements according some Tweets of people attending the meeting:

  1. the radar recordings will be handed over
  2. Ukraine did not posess the weapon which was used to shot down MH17.

Now these are remarkable statements. Ukraine always stated the radar stations for primary radar were in maintenance, out of reach and destroyed. Military primary radar was switched off according Ukraine.

I will try to contact the ambassador to confirm the statements he made.

“Ukraine did not posess the weapon which was used to shot down MH17.”
To borrow from the phrase made famous by the late Mandy Rice Davies of Profumo affair fame) “He would say that wouldn’t he”.
