Dutch Prosecutor does not object to defence request to interrogate expert on possibility warplane was flying under the radar

The defence lawyers did many requests to interview witness and experts. For most of those requests the Dutch public prosecutor advised the judge not to allow these interviews. These would not make sense as all alternatives scenarios were ruled out by the prosecutor.

However to one request the prosecutor did not protest. That was on the request of the defence to hear defense specialist D21. According his report titled ‘evaluatie radardata en detectiecapaciteit ‘ a warplane could theoretically have flown under the Russian primary radar. If the judge sees possibilities into the investigation of an air -to – air scenario the prosecutor will not resist to interrogated D21 in court.
